From January 4–8, WJC NextGen took part in the World Union of Jewish Students Congress in Israel.
Throughout the Congress, WJC NextGen led a series of sessions designed to equip student unions with practical tools. Michal Yeshurun, NextGen Manager, led a workshop on Strengthening Your Union’s Brand: Strategies in Communications. Máté Holler, NextGen Manager, delivered a session on Trends for Technology in 2026: Understanding Moderation & Legislation. Yoni Hammerman, Director, WJC Elevate, facilitated a session on The Global “I”: Balancing Personal Well-being with Global Responsibility, addressing leadership sustainability in an increasingly demanding global environment.
Yoni Hammerman also joined Moshe Lencer, Director of Campus Affairs at the American Jewish Committee, for a joint Q&A session, offering students an opportunity for open dialogue on campus challenges, advocacy, and leadership in today’s climate.
At the WUJS Gala, Hadassa Getsztain, Chair of World Jewish Congress Israel, together with Yoni Hammerman, presented the Emerging Leaders of the Year awards, recognizing outstanding young leaders making a meaningful impact on Jewish student life through vision and dedication.
